About This Site

This website was fully coded by me. Utilizing Bootstrap with HTML, PHP, CSS, Javascript, and some JQuery, this website will be continually updating and changing as I learn more and try new things. As of right now, it is hosted using my school's recommended hosting platform, but in the future I will be transferring the site to a hosting site of my choice along with obtaining my own domain.

On this site, you'll find work I've done throughout my time at Lake Superior College along with personal hobbies like photography and this very site. I enjoy the outdoors in my free time and photography has been a great way for me to further connect with that passion. I focus mostly on landscape photography and have been utilizing my Web Graphics class this semester to better use Adobe's Photoshop to enhance my work.

I also make amateur videos of my camping and hiking adventures when I'm able which you can find on Youtube (link is found on the sidebar). I do a lot of experimenting with the edits and it is fun to be able to get creative and express myself differently. I use Adobe's Premier Pro to edit all of my videos and I typcially make most of my videos during the Summer, although I have been trying more to get out in the cooler months, too.

I may add blogging to this site, so if you see a menu bar item for blogs, then I did. I use my Youtube videos as blogs right now, but I enjoy writing, also, so it would be nice to be able to talk about it here, too. I just need to make sure I can find the time.

That about sums up this site and myself. Feel free to reach out (sidebar) with any questions or comments and I hope you enjoy looking around!

New Website

I have started working on the design of my new website! I'm excited to be able to have a new design that is more modern, clean, and that better represents my skills and what I have learned. While the new site is under development, this site will continue to host my portfolio and work, but I will be updating small parts of this one to begin showing off aspects of the new design.

I am using Adobe's Illustrator to design the new site along with my new logo. I have also aquired the new domain and plan to be using WebFlow to build out the new site as I find it is a good combination of a WordPress-like drag-and-drop builder with the necessity of having to understand and being able to edit the code to get the design I want.

I am excited and looking forward to continue designing and building the new website. I can't wait until it's finished and ready to be launched! I'll keep everyone updated on the progress, as of right now with being in school and working full time, the design and build will be a slower process but I am hoping to have it finished by this summer!

New Logo

As part of designing my new website, I wanted to create an updated logo for myself. Using Adobe's Illustrator, I was able to create a logo that I am very happy with and that I think represents me well. I wanted to keep it simple and clean while also making it be memorable and unique to me.

As this site will continue to host my portfolio and work for some time while the new one is being built, I will be updating the old logo here with the new one. The colors used in the logo will be a sneak peak at the color palette of the new website. There will be a main logo and alternative based on the background color of the page with the main logo having a darker background and the alternative having the lighter background.

For those who never got to see the old logo, I will show them both here to get the full affect of the change. Hope you enjoy!
