Farmers Market

We are proud to have 2 summertime farmers markets open to the public to bring fresh and healthy food to the Central Hillside and Lincoln Park neighborhoods.

Each market provides a $25 match for all SNAP participants and also runs the Power of Produce Club, which provides children under 18 and elders over 60 with $4 each market to be spent on fresh produce.

The farmers markets are located in two low-income neighborhoods that are historically underserved, lacking grocery stores, and have a lower life expectancy than the surrounding metro. These markets are not only a place for people to gain access to fresh and affordable produce but also act as an engine for community connection that contributes to the social and economic vitality of the neighborhoods we serve.

Community Mobile Market

In February of 2021, we launched Duluth's first ever Mobile Market outside of the Children's Museum.

Socioeconomic, racial, geographic, and environmental factors limit community access to nutritious food in Duluth. The central and western neighborhoods such as Central Hillside, Lincoln Park, Morgan Park, and Gary-New Duluth are particularly vulnerable due to their high concentrations of low-income residents and lack of grocery stores.

Our greatest initiative utilizing our mobile market is to bring fresh produce, pantry staples, dairy products, canned goods, and more to communities across Duluth.
